This is a Win 95/NT applet that displays the colors represented by RGB values that range from 0.000 to 1.000 and the corresponding internal representation of 0 to 255. This applet is useful for picking color values used in graphics programming and applications such as the Optik raytracer. Optik as it stands tends to render colors a little darker than what the applet shows, so its not a perfect match, but it's close. These values can be adjusted via the red, green and blue scroll bars. A recent addition to the features of Colour is the ability to capture the color of a pixel on the desktop. Just click on the Capture button and the color of the pixel under the cursor hot-spot will be captured in the next left mouse click. This is useful for capturing natural colors from graphic files, for example. Colour has been tested with 1024 * 768 resolution at 24 bits/pixel color depth but not with other video modes.
