Nemesis is an EV that can be converted into a series HEV configuration that uses the heat engine with a generator to supply electricity for the battery pack and electric motor. Series HEVs have no mechanical connection between the auxilairy power unit (APU) and the wheels; therefore, all motive power is transferred electrically to an electric motor that drives the wheels.

When Electro Magnetic Forces (EMF) act due to the nature of the circuit and motor winding, an effect know as regenerative braking occurs. This is an effect that causes the car to decelerate while charging the battery back.
