ALUMNI POKER NIGHT!      Alumni Poker Night was a ton of fun. Thanks to all the alumni who came up from Sacramento and the Bay Area; a good time was had by all. I learned the hard way that a Royal Flush is NOT the best hand in poker; Damn 5 of a kind!!!

1998 CAUSEWAY CLASSIC FUN RUN

The Nu-Lambda Chapter of Kappa Sigma is holding its annual philanthropy on Sunday, September 13, with the 1998 Causeway Classic Fun Run.           For those of you unfamiliar with the Causeway Classic, its the annual matchup between Sac State and UC Davis (we like to call it the "Little Big Game") and is easily the biggest football game each year for both schools. Well, Nu-Lambda started an annual philanthropy a couple of years ago with a Game Ball Run; they ran a football from Sac State to UC Davis in spirit of the Causeway Classic.      This year, since the overwhelming demand was to have many more participants, they will host a 5K/10K Fun Run at Sac State. They are currently in the process of getting sponsors; 98 Rock of Sacramento has already agreed to help publicize the event. Any alumni who are interested in helping out with this event by running, helping set up the event, or simply donating money for the event are strongly encouraged. Nu-Lambda is sure to have the biggest philanthropy ever - they aim to raise $15,000 for United Cerebral Palsy!
