The
public is increasingly unhappy with noise pollution and the low
level at which helicopters need to fly in order to obtain satisfactory
images of ground subjects. Added to their concerns is the increasing
accident rate in helicopter operations (there were 17 accidents
involving law enforcement helicopters in the US recently). The airship
can collect improved quality data from a higher level making a fraction
of the noise, at a reduced cost, while a comfortable, safer environment
for sensor operators allow missions of over 10 hours.
