Predator Sector
The Predator Sector of the Aquarium focuses on the act on some of the great predators of the sea. A predator is an animal or other organism (such as a carnivorous plant) that hunts and kills other organisms for food in an act called predation. Predators are either carnivores or omnivores.
Two wonderful exhibits highlight on the most famous predator of the ocean; the aptly named Great White Shark. Great White sharks primarily eat fish, smaller sharks, turtles, dolphins, and pinnipeds such as seals and sea lions. They are apex predators; the only animals known to attack them are other Great Whites, sperm whales, orcas, and humans.
