Learn about Marine Life at A.S.E.A.

The ASEA offers an integrated introduction into Australian marine ecology. Through participation with schools and local programs the ASEA hopes to share that knowledge with you. Our staff includes 2 fully credentialed teachers that help with our community education program. Activities and classes focus on teaching students about marine and estuarine ecosystems. The classes are broken down into different age ranges and typically include a short video lecture and a hands on lab.

In addition to regular classes the ASEA also offers a summer camp for students of all ages. With the cooperation of several local research groups your child will have a chance to learn and experience first hand from some of the most experienced scientists in Queensland. This camp runs Tues through Thursday 10am till 3pm, and teaches your children about the environment.

Internships are also available for high school and college level students who are interested in getting first hand experience in the field. To learn more please contact the center.
