2005 Spring ->Concept Design and Storyboarding ->Scene Analysis Scene Analysis Project 2:     Title Scene Analysis Due Date Wednesday 23 February 2005 at the start of lab (11:00 AM) Points 10 Preparation Read DDSF chapter 4 Venue External - to be completed outside of class or lab time. Connection Individually Turn-in Method File turned-in by the beginning of lab. Format Word document Subject Line N/A File Name SceneAnalysis_ followed by your name. Use underscores instead of spaces. Notes Make sure your name is in the file. Tasks       1. Watch a movie which you have not previously watched. As you watch the film, keep in mind the topics we have coverd thus far in the course - story, theme, character, plot points, scene develpment, etc.   After watch the movie note in your document the following: 2. (see chapter 1) Title   Genre   Protagonist - name and brief character description.   Antagonist or Main Antagonist - name and brief character description.   Subject   Theme   Goals - Protagonist, Antagonist, Story, Theme 3. (see chapter 2 Character Identification methods used   A brief history of the protagonist.   Protagonist traits - best, worst, three others.   Some symbols and/or metaphors used for protagonist's traits, story, and theme. 4. (see chapter 3) Framework used - drama, hero journey, etc.   List a few of the plot points used in the film. 5. (see chapter 4) Select three (3) consecutive scenes for more detailed analysis. For each of the three (3) scenes do the following:   Create a treatment entry.   Indicate the pace (accelerating, decelerating, etc.) If the scene is transitional, list the form of transition.   List any techniques used - foreshadowing, reversal, etc.   List any symbolism or metaphor used in the scene.   How did the scene develop the protagonist?   How did the scene move the plot forward?   How did the scene further the theme?   For any of the three (3) scenes, what did you like most about it?   For any of the three (3) scenes, what did you like least about it?   How would you improve this scene sequence? 2005 Spring 3D Computer Modeling Concept Design and Storyboarding Assignments Calendar Gradebook Syllabus Video Game Design Project
