| | Inspiration
Got original idea from Blue6 (animation movie) and Lady Hawk (with Michelle Phieffer). Later inspired by a sad song from the Japanese anime series “Naruto”.

| | Time Frame
Modeling was not so bad, it was the lighting and rendering that took forever. My scene has three volumetric lights with shadow maps, and almost the whole scene is of the ocean. Average render time on a 3.73 P4 with 2 gigs if memory was between 15-30 minutes depending of scene. MODELING SURFACING Bugs 2 min 2 min Body 3 hrs 1 hrs Grass 1 hrs 30 min Water 1 hrs 2 hrs Tree 3 hrs 1 hrs Leaves 2 hrs 30 min Ground 1 hrs 30 min

| | Problems and Solutions
The hardest part that I almost gave up on was creating the water/ocean. Couldn’t get the right texture/effect. -Solution: Keep on trying and tweek the setting to match “YOUR SCENE”, not the tutorials! The second thing that was really hard for me was creating the leaves, grass, and bugs (in multiple numbers). -Solution: Created one model of each and then used Point Spray and Point Clone.
