Instead of flying home for the holidays, I worked on this virtual plane. I ran into all kinds of trial and error. My tutorial explains well, though I provide new renditions beyond the tutorial providing the foil effect on the wings in a two layer process. I finally Broke down and moved point to point. Boeing made a recent posting of the final exterior version of the 7E7 turned 787-7, 8, 9. My model follows the specifications of the 787-9. I had the previous version UV mapped and tried to cut and paste to my new control surfaces and engines. I wound – up with a plane crash. I have to provide two renders. Please see the updates on the plain plane 787-J. Perfectionism took over somehow and I had a deliverable all along.
The presentation is something I’ve been looking forward to and I’m extremely sorry for falling short. I even brought my log book of my every flight, all 500,000nm of it. My story depicts when I left SEA-TAC for SFO in 1980 at 4:28 and experienced one of Mt. St. Helen’s large eruptions for the air. The head flight attendant was trying to serve to no avail. Another flight attendant even said forget it, you don’t see this everyday. We were safe 50 miles to the west. Chunks of mountain spilled out and looked like little rocks from our vantage point. Our camera was in the suitcase and we haven’t had a picture until now
