Brigitte Rocklein Final Scene
 A light By the Sea
Inspiration

My mother collects pictures of different lighthouses.  I saw one of the pictures and thought I should try to recreate it.

Time Frame

-The light was created piece by piece and probably took around 8 hours to complete.
-The ocean however was easier because I already knew how to create it.
-The rocks took about 6 hours to make them look like more realistic rocks.
-The lighting took a couple hours because I had to play around with volumetrics.

Problems and Solutions

Problem #1- I went to try Skytracer at home, but found that I was missing one of the plug-ins, postponing my scene until school again.

Problem #2- Another problem was creating the rocks in my scene.  They did not appear as realistic as I hoped they would.  I fixed them by using different opacity levels on the textures.

Problem #3- I also had a small problem with layout, I could not find my shrunken lighthouse in the ocean.

References

I used the ocean tutorial by Ben Borofka as well as the rock tutorial by Mike Schultz for my scene. Also the book showed me a few different ways to create simple shapes
