| | Inspiration
I wanted to do a scene that had to do with music. I decided to create a stage with a guitar and an amplifier on it. I chose the camera angle from behind looking out towards the audience, because this allowed me to create a realistic scene while only having to model the guitar and amp. Also, I felt this perspective would make a more interesting scene, as apposed to the typical shot from in front of the stage. Because there were only two objects in my scene I was able to spend a long time modeling them in detail.

| | Problems and Solutions
The main problem I had was the question of what to put in the background. I originally wanted to have the walls of an art deco theater, but I tried it and it just didn’t have the feel I was after. A friend of mine suggested that I just leave the background black so that the guitar and amp are more prevalent in the scene. After messing with the lighting for a while I was able to get this effect, and I liked the way it looked.
