| | Inspiration
I thought of this while watching brave heart. Which is one of my favorite movies. I thought a castle would be be a cool scene to try and accomplish. For my group project I created a dungeon so I had some experience already. I originally wanted to put a lot more items into my scene but unfortunately ran out of time. However I accomplished many different tasks in this project. I learned how to use skytracer2 and also how to use saslite. In conclusion I learned some vary valuable tools in this project because all of my other scenes have been interior. Although I learn a lot in this assignment I wish I had had more time to spend on this particular assignment. I will probably over the summer try to give this some finishing touches and try to make it look better just for my own personal sake.

| | Problems and Solutions
I had a hell of a time trying to model certain parts of the sword. It's no wonder I couldn't get any of my friends to render it for me! I eventually had to get down and do nitty-gritty point-manipulation, and it turned out 'O-K', but I honestly wish I could have done it better.
I suppose one of my main problems was finding a good camera angle that would make a really great shot. Sadly, I don't think I ever solved that one...
I had many problems in the scene. One major problem I had was that half way through the assignment my flash drive broke and I lost all my work and had to start over. Originally it was suppose to be a battle scene but I ran out of time. Another problem that I had was using saslight. I’m not sure why but for some reason my grass would come out huge every time. I still have not found a solution for this problem I tried changing grass size and other aspects but it just would not do it. All of my other scenes so far have been interior scenes. This is my first attempt at an outside scene. I had problems with skytracer2 nothing major just a lot of tinkering with options until you get the look you’re going for. My worst problem of all was the texture on the castle. I just could not make it look any better. I added a bump map and played with tons of different wall textures for hours. I just could not get away from that repetitive look.
