| | Inspiration
One day, and alien ship came and abducted the streets. As of yet, no one has figured out why they did something so stupid.

| | Problems and Solutions
At first the road spiraling up to the ship was much more twisty and convoluted. It was neat, but too messy so I simplified it to an ascending spiral. I was hoping the buildings would look alright if I just made some boxes and put building-like textures on them. But that didn’t cut it, so I went back and tried to make the models better. I also found different textures to make them more distinct from one another. This ended up taking most of my time, which got annoying because the buildings are not the main focus of the piece. When I turned on “ray trace shadows” the beam disappeared. This was because the distant light wouldn’t go through the ship. I changed the settings so it would, but then beam showed through the ship all the way. This was fixed by putting a smaller pyramid inside the spaceship that had a hole through the middle.
