| | Inspiration
It all started in high school. My art is highly influenced by cats. Its from the overwhelming amount of cats that consisted in my childhood. I grew up with as many as 14 cats at one time, it was insane. I decided to make another cat t-shirt, this time using my newly acquired prospective drawings skills. It portrayed a cat stomping a city beneath its feet. I called it Catzilla. I decided to bring Catzilla back, and this time portray him in a 3D world. So that’s what I did.

| | Problems and Solutions
At first I planned on building the city first, but it didn’t happen that way. I was using a displacement map on a flat surface, to make the buildings pop out. The problem was, I didn’t know how to save the scene file to modeler. I needed to do this, so that I could individually texture the different buildings. I wasn’t very excited about doing buildings, so I hopped right into character modeling Catzilla. I started with the teeth, they took two days to finish, but they looked nice and scary. I found that modeling with the magnet tool was very helpful. I used the magnet tool on a sub patched square, and built the body around the teeth. I began to enjoy working at my cat creature. It was very time consuming, and the only problem, is running out of time. I didn’t have time to put in more buildings, but I found a good backdrop that helped out nicely.
