| | Inspiration
My desk scene is inspired by the flooding of New Orleans. It was such a devastating disaster, that it leaked into my desk scene some how. My dad is also involved in efforts to feed as many as 600 a day in the salvation army. This is another reason why it is stuck in my head. I thought it would be a fun thing to try and get away from a boring office lifestyle. So I figured, why not flood the whole thing!

| | Problems and Solutions
The biggest problem was the water, because it took so long to render. And If i tried to render it with less options on, it would not render the water right. So adjustments to the lighting was troublesome, because render time was so high. The size of the water was gigantic, and it kept messing with the size of the scene's grid. Then I figured out how to key frame, and it help me keep the grid how i wanted it to be. I didn't size the objects very accurately, so i had to go back and resize everything. I started 4 different scene arrangements until i got what i wanted. I also should have textured all the objects before putting them in layout. Again i had to go back into modeler and change them. The point lights didn't create the values that i'd hoped for, but they didn't turn out too bad. The sun affect was on accident, i think the point light got too close to the camera?! The major problem was that my flash drive died, and i had to start from scratch after we were working on the projects for a good 2 weeks. I had to rebuild most of the objects in the scene. I decided to become more radical and do my water idea, but it proved to be too advanced for me. I couldn't finish in time. I've learned to strive for what’s more in my range, than what’s outside of it.
