Kyle Goodman Desk Scene

Inspiration

My name is Kyle Goodman, and this (the somewhat random scene below) is my desk scene.
This little scene I have created is not really my dream office, nor does it have any real
obvious sane inspiration, the only inspiration is the randomness of my psyche.
The reason there are "granite" chairs in the room is simply this, I thought "wouldn't it
be cool to have a granite lawn-chair...Oooh how about a granite desk-chair..." So as you
can see I let things take me wither they will have me go in order to create a scene.
In other words: voila...My desk scene...

Problems and Solutions

Ambient light made it difficult to see the difference in light as cast by the lamp

My models were all too small for the standerd lightwave textures, so all had to be scaled down

How do you get a projector screen to glow, My solution, luminosity & a light behind showing through

Time Frame

Planning the scene     30 minutes
modeling     3 hours
Placement(layout)     20 minutes
texturing     1 hour
lighting     2 or 3 hours
