Gary Angeja Final Scene

Inspiration

My inspiration for this scene was from the latest ninja turtle movie TMNT. There was a scene towards the end that showed a shelf with many objects from the first three movies and some new ones from this movie. Although I only had time to model the objects from the older movies I was initially going to try to have all of them in there. Looking back now I like that it is just the objects from the first three movies because that’s what I grew up watching and they are all classics. I also feel like those three objects are important in telling the story of the ninja turtle’s origin.

Problems and Solutions

Some problems that I faced during this project were modeling, texturing, and lighting. The main problem was modeling the Shredder helmet just because it had curves that could not be made with a box or ball shape. I had to use the spline modeling tutorial to first learn how and then revisited it a few times to make sure I had it right. It took me a while but I finally got it down. Another problem was lighting. At first the shadows on the helmet were very unrealilistic and so I had to change my light source type and adjust the settings.
