Inspiration

In Whiskeytown there are old brick buildings that have burnt down but the brickwork still remains but with large gaps and walls partially torn down.  The site is a tourist spot now, but I thought it would be neat to change the materials to concrete and build my desk in the middle.  The desk was just supposed to be different from the walls materials and the tv was just a brainstorm.

Problems and Solutions

The real trick was getting the scene lit well enough to keep anything but the shadows from being truly black.  Making the holes in the room walls was also time consuming and difficult to get right.  Trying to get the polygons in the rubble pile to look right was also challenging.
