Inspiration

My inspiration came from my life as of the last two months. Since I just got a job, I haven’t had much time to do homework and study for classes. So I wanted to make it appear as if the person who owns the desk is falling behind in class and up to his eyeballs in homework. I believe this would make for a more humorous shot as well as making it more appealing to college students especially the ones that like to procrastinate as much as I do.

Problems and Solutions

One of the biggest overall problems I had with this project was not knowing how to do things that were not discussed in class. The biggest one was using the bend tool to make the curves in the lamp at the top. I solved this simply by asking for help and also using the text for reference. More specific problems I had were positioning the pieces of paper completely flat on the desk. To solve this I used the skeleton feature to see my objects as wire frames rather than the entire thing with color. This allowed me to better see where the paper was in relation to the desk.
