Will Owen Desk Scene

 Evil Dead
Inspiration

I tried to recreate the desk in the film Evil Dead, which is a film about some college kids in a cabin in the woods that unleash evil spirits that possess the living. The only differences from my scene and the one in the film is that I left out the object of the tape recorder that the kids play which has recordings of the demon resurrection passages from the Book of the Dead because of time constraints.

Problems and Solutions

The skull on the dagger’s handle is organic, so I pained over that for a while, as was the dead human skin that bounds the Book of the Dead.  Texturing was time consuming because I had to learn how to use Bump, Alpha, and Clip maps.
