Task: Collaboratively create a scene that conveys a story using LightWave
Groups: Minimum 3, maximum 4 members in a group. Due: At the BEGINNING of lab Wednesday 5 or Thursday 5 April 2006 (depending upon your lab assignment).
Points: 200
Components: - A scene that tells or evokes a story
Turn-In: In a directory (folder) labeled with your group's name include all the following: - Scene Render(s) as JPEG (minimum 800 x 600, greater preferred). The name of your render file must be your group's name with NO spaces, use underscores instead of spaces. Following the group's name must be a render number (1..9) with your_group_name1.jpg noting the primary rendering for your scene.
- Thumbnail of each render - 120 pixels wide, maintaining aspect ratio. The file name must be the same name as the render followed by a 't', such as your_group_name1t.jpg.
- All objects used in the scene
- Scene file
- Ancillary files (textures, images, etc)
- ALL files necessary to render your scene!
- Report
- Group Participation Report
Report: Create your report as a text file, a Word document file, or HTML file. When lists are called for, such as Object & Created By, leave the left column against the left margin and separate the two columns by a single tab (or use a table in HTML). Include the following information in your report: - Group name
- Group member's names
- Title of Work
- Story/Inspiration
- Object list - object & who created the object
- Textures/Images list - image & image source
- Problems and Solutions
- Time Frame - time spent on each major component in your scene, such as hours spent planning your scene, hours modeling the desk, hours spent working on texture, hours spent on lighting, etc.
- References - briefly annotated list of tutorials, books, web sites, etc you found useful.
