| | Inspiration
I decided to do a scene that you might see in a video game somewhere. I didn’t have any particular inspiration for this project. I just sat down and thought it up. The basic story I’m trying to convey is a group of shrouded humanoids (possibly human…possibly not) summoning froth some dark force deep in the woods.

| | Problems and Solutions
The toughest part of this project was creating the cloaked “Daemon Druids.” Cloth effects are hard to achieve. I used a plug-in called “Stitch” to get the rough cloak done. Then I had to manually manipulate the mesh to get it to an acceptable final state. Also creating the fire effects in the scene proved quite challenging. I had to learn how to use a plug-in call “Chaos-phoenix” in order to achieve the flaming pentagram. The central particle effect also took some though to accomplish. I ended up animating particle emitters to achieve the swirling blue particles around the central particle beam.
