| | Inspiration
Since I have recently returned from Europe of traveling for five months I had collected sketches of old men in the pubs anywhere I went. I seemed to have the best luck in Ireland and found a distinct genre in the interiors’ of these Irish Pubs. I have just recently finished a series of artwork in ceramics pertaining to the political problems between the Catholic Irish and the Protestant English. So, as a tribute to my friends I made over there and to look onto the lighter side of things I have created this Irish pub, and places inside some of the sketches that I had done on my trips through Ireland. I thought deeply whether to color in the images of the people, but found it aesthetically pleasing to leave them black and white. One of the images is a view without people, I kept this image for one, because it is the view I created my scene from, and two to show what the pub would look like before opening. The images with the people in them I had places 3D pint glasses of Guiness, and places the sketches with these glasses. Throughout the pubs I had visited they all had the tan and green walls and definently Guiness posters all over the walls. In all I believe I have accomplished what I had intended, and well, could always add more. Enjoy!

| | Problems and Solutions
The most problems I had were with the layering of the alpha map. It took some trickery and fooling around to finally get the effect I wanted. I had added the layer but didn’t change it to the alpha mode and found only the black and white image showing. After I had changed it to alpha it gave the texture of a worn in floor with the dirt image below showing.
