In a recurring dream I have, I come home to a big house all to myself (not sure what that's all about). And in an effort to relive that dream, I did the layout for the house, and constructed it from memory. While its not perfect, moving the camera through the house has a very eerie yet familiar feel to it.
I've always wanted to actually complete this house, but never had the motivation to get started. This project allowed that fuel to spark, and while its not fully complete to my liking, I still have time to improve it all later on, until its fully presentable.

3dsmax Export/Import
Overall things seemed a lot better than before concerning exporting my objects from 3dsmax into Lightwave. Most geometry errors I have learned to fix, so that its nearly seamless. However on some objects, particularily the Sinks, got some weird disfiguration that caused some polygons to be rendered fully unlit, even though the surrounding ones were fine. I tried many different things to remedy this issue, but gave up and just allowed it to be in the end. Can't have everything perfect I suppose.
Time
I imagined this project as a massive undertaking, since so much went into getting it right, and I like adding the detail most people will never notice. I personally wish there was more time for completing it all before turning in, since in my mind the resulting scene is a lot better than it turned out.
Lighting
These indoor things are a killer, lighting has to be perfect. I left it dark "outside" because having daylight would just add to the confusion that grew during the layout. I ended up manuevering all lights depending on the shot it took. Overall things came out nicely, but still not perfect, unforunatly.
