| | Inspiration
The inspiration for this scene comes from my interests in moody scenes and rustic feeling pieces. This scene is essentially my thought pattern and personal taset's when working on projects. I like to work in rather dull/low lighting situations and having a big mug of water/caffeinated beverage helps to keep me working. Also the blue print paper is blank, becuase like so many projects, I wait to the last minute in doing them. The art is rather generic, the best looking piece is the lamp having a rather unusual shape, which I'm proud of.

| | Problems and Solutions
I ran into many problems working with the lighting for the lamp. I could never get it to cast the approriate amoung of light I wanted. In the end I just lifted the global light to get better resutls. Another problem I ran into was the glass. The glass lamp would keep casting extra small dot shadows that I couldn't get rid of for the longest time. Eventually I recreated the lamp and the smaller shadows disappeared. As it turns out, this was a side effect of using the lathe tool on my earlier desiegn and it didn't lathe properly.
