Inspiration

Basically we as a group wanted to do something that wasn't to terribly tough to create but wanted it also to look somewhat decent.  We came across the thought that we go to Chico State and love it here so why don't we do something that was important to the campus.  So what's more beautiful than the Chico State Rose garden.  We thought if we included some of the nice brick buildings, the fountain, the tower, and all the roses and trees that if would look awesome.  We figured that the buildings should be pretty easy to recreate, but we thought that all of bushes, trees and roses would be the hard part about it.

Problems and Solutions

As we worked on this group project we encountered numerous of problems.  First off we started the group off with 3 members and now were down to two.  One of the members never showed up after the first couple of labs we had for this project and he had the sketches and all the measurements.  This problem was a major setback.  Second we didn't know how to make a lot of the objects like the trees, bushes, roses, grass.  So we had to go through a few tutorials to understand how to make the objects.  The third  problem that we encountered was figuring out how to lay all the objects out.  We wanted to recreate a replica of the Chico State Rose Garden.  So it was kind of tough to find out what goes where in our scene.  The fourth problem was that it was kind of hard to find all of the right textures to make it look as close as possible to the Chico State rose garden.  We had to find brick textures, grass textures, and a bark texture.  Also I think had we got a little more time everything would have been a lot better.  We had to rush to finish it because we started a little late because of the member that had dropped from our group.
