| | Inspiration
Originally during the group progect we had the idea of a "super toaster" a toaster equipped with so many gadgets and gizmos, that it's just plain daffy. Instead we ended up doing a mech scene with the input of other people. However, this wasn't the first thing I thought of when it came to creating my project. My first attempt was a pinball machine. I soon lost interest in this and decided it would be too complicated in my limited time. Instead, with three days left, I changed to the original idea for the group project. In two days I spat this out. The advantage for creating this one, was It was more subjective to my whims and fancies, and I didn't need to reference physics or real machines as the toaster was a simple form... until now.

| | Problems and Solutions
My original issue was choosing a topic that I could follow through with, had I chosen the toaster originally, my finishing product would have been much more effetive. My second probalem was deforming the toaster holes with the subpatched form, I had help from another student and got past a MAJOR roadblock. I still can't remember the tool right now, but I'm sure I could find it if I had to do it again. My mirrors were to clear originally so I just increased the diffuse on the default mirror function and it gave it a fading into the distance look.
