| | Inspiration
This scene has been very fun, yet time intensive to model. I choose to model the Java Detour Coffee spot because I like how the building is structured. It has great slants, colors and textures. This building is cool because it’s very unlike any other building that you would find in Chico. My inspiration for modeling this coffee stop was me simply having to pass by it mostly everyday. Each time I past the coffee stop, I studied it. Not only that, but I found a pretty good picture of it on the web, which helped me to make the model. | |

| | Problems and Solutions
The problems that I ran into were, adding brightness or glowing to the Java Detour sign etc. They were the hardest effect for me to achieve. By turning luminosity up, it help to create the look I wanted. There were so many curves and slants that I had to work with that made it hard for me to add the signs on those portions of the building. I like the way the building came out. I learned how to make the letters 3-D. I also learned how to give them a glowing effect. I enjoyed playing with the different textures and colors. The model of the building looks very much like the real deal. However I did make objects that were not shown in the scene; like an over head light and signs for the building. Although there were a few parts of the scene that were not willing to work for me, I made the most of the scene.
