| | Inspiration
After watching all the portfolios that other people had, I felt the need to tear my desk apart after building it. I wanted to build a desk that was imperfect and make every object my own.

| | Problems and Solutions
Using this program alone was difficult. If the point options didn’t exist, then I as sure would have been left with a weird looking end result. Being that most of the options were hard to find, I had quite a struggle. Eventually, I began to use things I already knew in order to do advanced techniques and things were going smoothly. I continuously shifted between the desk, and the lamp as I intended to put a believable amount of detail into those. I hadn’t made the glass till near the end and was satisfied in how little time it took. Although I was doing well, I didn’t have enough time to add all sorts of extras so I had to render the project with just the requirements. I also didn’t have the time to break my desk apart.
The major hurdles were in the layout mode of Lightwave. Messing around everywhere, I was trying to figure out how to add shadows, switching lighting effects, add transparency and so on. Once one of the tutorials finally told me how to add them, I couldn’t get out my finished project. I asked the techies at OCNL but they weren’t able to help me. I ended up finding how to turn the files to Jpeg by accident and have them set in thumbnails and regular.
Notes
There’s a secondary light besides the lamp at the top of the room to add some light on what the lamp doesn’t quite get.
