Trisha Derr Desk Scene
 Book Lover's Retreat
Inspiration

I love books and I was thinking of my own desk that is absolutely stacked with various books in different piles. I loved the thought of the piles of multi-colored book piled and stacked sporadically around the room. The book-chair came from the poor college student’s chair-deprivation. The chair had only to be composed of bigger and thicker books for stability purposes. In addition, the books that are holding up the broken leg of the desk, that is exaggerated from my real desk that is a little wobbly unless properly stabilized with a nice book.

Problems and Solutions

My main problem was figuring out how the lighting worked in layout and why my lamps glow, as you can see they are slightly transparent that leads to light being cast onto the wall. Also my lighting is very dark, even though there are two lamps there is just barely enough light to read by. Also creating my room so that it looked like it was in the right place, everything was hard to line up, my books were floating above my desk and my plants were half way though the wall, then I became more proficient at changing the perspective of the layout and that helped to position everything correctly.
