| | Final Project
As with all coursework you are expected and required to adhere to the Academic Honesty, and Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities.
As presented in class several times, the following are the deliverables and deadlines for the final project:
| |
|
| | | Your group's work product must be submitted prior to 11 am 9 December 2003. All work product must be submitted to your Sturgen group account -- your access to this server will be terminated after 11 am 9 December 2003. Group work product includes: | | | | | Web Site | Actual working web site (html, graphics, javascripts, etc) designed, developed and implemented by your group. | | Site Map | Final site map submitted by your group. | | Users' Manual | Your group must submit the Users' Manual as a text or html document containing information to the client regarding the web site you are delivering. | | Report | Your group must submit your Final Report as a text or html document explaining your project to the course instructor. Topics to include: your design plan or concept (why you choose what design), tools you used, problems and solutions to the implementation of the site, list of overall tasks and who was responsible for the completion of the task, what you would do different if you were starting the project over, what items you foresee completing in version 2 of the product and why not implemented in version 1, etc. This report should be between 3 and 10 pages in length and directed to the instructor not the client. | | Presentation Materials | Your group must submit your presentation materials (only if you are using tools/products other than the actual web site such as a slide show presentation). |
| |
|
| | Group presentations will occur Tuesday 9 December 2003 and Thursday 11 December 2003 in class see Presentation Order link on the Assignments Page for exact order. Your team will have 7 minutes to present your product to the client. Your presentation will be evaluated by your peers as well as the instructor with the instructor's evaluation having considerable more weight than your peers'. The presentation will be evaluated based on effective and professional presentation style that we have discussed in class and categorized by introduction, organization, clarity, target audience, effective visuals, persuasiveness, conclusion, and overall presentation.
| |
|
| | You are individually responsible for the Group Participation Report. You will be provided with a Group Participation Report form which you must submit by the end of the final period 18 December 2003. This form is for you to submit individually and is not to be provided in any format to your group members. This form is a means for you to provide information about your group members' participation and their contribution to the project. This form is correspondence between you individually and the instructor.
| |
|
| | You individually are responsible for evaluating each group presentation. These evaluations are of the actual presentations not your opinion of what you think or feel the group's performance will be. Thus you must be present to conduct the evaluation.
| |
|
| | Your final in this course (Thursday 18 December 2003 at 10 am) will be the completion of the web design critiques for each and all of the group web sites submitted. The critique form will be provided at the time of the final for you to complete in the final period.
