Veasna Sok Final Scene
 Flying Rabbit, Air Turtle
Inspiration

My inspiration is the fairy tale of the turtle and the rabbit. How the turtle beat the rabbit in a race where he slow and the rabbit is fast. I think of this tale was a moral lesson to all the people in this world. People who work hard does deserve what they get and people who are lazy can't finish the job.

Art

This scene is good. It shows the turtle and the rabbit flying in a race to the sunset. The fairy tale takes place a hundred years later. The turtle has develops a working jet engine in his shell and he is ready to race the rabbit. The rabbit on the other hand get a spell book and learn magic. The rabbit learn how to fly and can speed up to the speed of sound. All in all the reflection on the rabbit using volumetric lighting look good. As for the turtle he is just plain and simple, but with the enhancement of the exhaust jet pipe on the back of his shell.

Problems and Solutions

I didn't have that much trouble in create the organic object, but getting the texture to be right is really hard. The sky tracer 2 option does pose a challenge to me because I have to get the right setting for the sunset scene. After I put the scene together the issue of render came up quickly. It took the computer at least 45 minute to render one scene. I also play a lot with the camera setting.

Conclusion:  I enjoy working on this project. If I have more time I would spend more time on texture and camera viewpoint. In the future I can really use this model to help me in the animation class. All in all this class is fun and I would like to recommend it to anyone who really wants to be in the animation industry.
