| | Inspiration
The inspiration for this piece came from doing the tutorial we had to do for the class. I was going to do the bevel tool and then I found out about the magical bevel tool and realized it was a great tool for organic objects. I knew I wanted to create organic creatures and do something outside. I tried to create a jellyfish and after making that I decided to create an underwater scene.

| | Problems and Solutions
The biggest problem I had was figuring out how to get the water to look real. I was playing around with different lighting techniques to get the look of being underwater. I tried creating a waterplane that had a number of bump maps on it but I couldn't get it to look right. I realized that I could extend the spot light with the projection image of water and it would give the look of sun rays shining through water. I also had to play around with the fog in the background to make it look like objects were fading into the distance.
