Problems and Solutions

Artistic:

I had a lot of problems deciding what to do for my project. I wanted to model some kind of organic object. I kept having ideas that I thought were good, but nothing that I really got excited about. Finally, I decided that I wanted to make a human hand with some kind of ball in the palm.

Technical:

I tried making glass marbles with images in the middle, such as stars, a galaxy, and other images like that. This didn't work out quite as well as I had hoped, so I had to find another way of making my scene look more exciting. I ended up using a point light, and lens flare on it, which did a really good job. The point light took the place of a marble-type object that I would have had to put in the palm, and also gave the project a really nice lighting effect.
