Sean Ridgway Desk Scene
 Homicide or Suicide?
Inspiration

Before this project was assigned I saw a murder mystery movie.  It kinda got me into the mind set of old time murders.  I wanted to take this scene back to the 30's or 40's so I made an old phone and an old hat to aid in that.  I decided to try and create a story of a suicide as told through one picture.  I wanted to use some camera techniques to show the blood and the gun in the frame but not be the focal point.

Problems and Solutions

I had some problems because my computer crashed and so did my car so I had to miss class and time on my own computer.  I also had some problems creating the gun.  I didn't have a picture so I went with my imagination.  I like how it turned out.  I also had problems trying to use Layout.  It was difficult because I would have the mirror and the gun on the same layer so when I tried to move the gun into the sight of the mirror I couldn't move it separately.  To fix that I just copied and pasted in Modeler.  One problem I had is that I wanted to add to the scene by having someone's shadow entering the room to make it a little more freaky and ambiguous but I didn't have the time.
