| | Inspiration
I didn't really get my inspiration until I started putting the scene together. I experimented with lighting and found that I could give a neon sign glow on the walls. This reminded me of a hotel or Las Vegas at night. That's where I came up with The Las Vegas Detective. I was able to put a neon sign in Las Vegas writing on a light which projected it on the wall, giving a more realistic feeling of being in Las Vegas. I really wanted the scene to be DRAMATIC so I made sure that the lighting had a lot of contrast between shadows and the lights. To do this I made sure to have at least 3 light. The back lighting was really important because it gave life to other objects in the room besides the focus of the shots

| | Problems and Solutions
Some troubles I had where; The lathe tool. The tool would flip the polygons, giving the object a lot of holes. So instead of flipping each polygon I made the object double sided. This eliminated my problem easily. The Las Vegas neon sign wasn't even used at first. I tried to make a wall with Las Vegas typed out of it. And from there I shined a red spot light through it. Didn't really give the illusion I wanted. Then I tried to project the neon jpeg of Las Vegas on the wall from a light source and that worked fine.
