 Transparency Preference
Inspiration

The imaginary person who lives in this room likes the transparent things because they look totally different by different backgrounds. Although he has to live in such a cave-like room which has abnormal floor, walls, and terrible views through the window, that is not such a big problem for him because he has his transparent stuff with him such as the table, chair, toy, or even paper which are all made of glass. Therefore, He is even enjoying his new room because the strange walls and floor make his furniture look the way which he has never seen.

Problems and Solutions

I encountered most of problems when I was creating objects. The object that took me long to create is the table. Since I wanted the top of the table to be very smooth and accurately transparent, I spent such a long time on changing the settings of the surface of the object by using the surface editor. The reason why it took me so long is that I loadeded the object into Layout without loading the backgroud such as floor and walls in advance. Then, I figured out that the objects which are especially made of something transparent such as glass look totally different by the backgrounds. Therefore, to appropriately fit the transparent objects into the scene, I ended up with the conclusion that it is better to set the backgrounds first and next, put the transparent objects there considering the balance between them. I think that will save considerable amount of time and produce better results.
