Inspiration

I decided I would try and do something with my scene that would truly tell the story in just one shot.  I focused more on the story rather that seeing how many fancy objects I could make.  In addition I tried to position the elements within the scene in a unique and interesting way.

Problems and Solutions

I did not encounter too many problems when I attacked this project.  However one of my first setbacks came from not knowing that light intesities could be raised beyond 100%.  When I put the lamp in and got everything where I wanted it to be, I decided that I wanted the lamp to be brighter than what it was.  So I looked at the item properties.  Much to my surprise the lamp was already at "full" intensity.  I became very discourage and tried to make the scene work another way, first by adding more lights, then by increasing the ambient lighting.  None of these methods gave me the results I had hoped for.  So finally I just decided to input a number higher than 100% for my original light rather than to keep messing with the slider.  I rendered the scene after the change and found that the light was perfect.  Just how I wanted it to be
