SINGLE RAIL EXTRUDE

Step 1

Make a disk of any proportion

Step 2

Using either the points tool or the sketch tool create a spline curve on the next open layer.

Make sure the end of the curve is placed in the center of the disk.

Step 3

Manipulate the points of the curve in all perspectives

Make sure that the points are well spaced to form a smooth curve with no choppy sections.

Step 4

Select the disk as the active layer with the curve as the background layer to enable the Rail Extrude tool under the Multiply Menu.

Press OK and you have yourself a fine looking sink pipe.

Play around with the different options that are available with the Rail Extrude tool and you will see there are more segments and different variations to be created.

MULTIPLE RAIL EXTRUDE

Step 1

Make a disk again with any proportion.

Step 2

In a new layer make 2 curves that form the knee.  The two should be parallel with each other, and in respect to the disk.

*Each curve should be on separate layers so you can modify each one.

Step 3

Proceed creating another 2 curves perpendicular to the two curves before on independent layers.

Step 4

Again select the 2 Disk layers as the active layer and the curve layers as the background, and initiate the Rail Extrude tool.

Select the Uniform Option and turn off Orienting
