Story:

U.C. (Universal Century) 0079 when a half of a century has passed since people started to leave the earth behind. By the time, there is the Federation which all the countries cooperate and regulate the world.  Several hundreds of space colonies float around in  outer space and people make their living on artificial ground made inside the space colonies.
In U.C. 0079, a group of colonies named themselves "Zeon" declared a war for indipendency from the Federation.
One month passed since the declaration of the war and total number of victims reached to a half of all the population.

Inspiration:
All the objects and scenes are inspired by one of the most popular Japanese animation called "Gundam"

Problems and Solutions:

1. All of the scenes are in outer space, where the background color is like black.  So we had to make all the objects stand out in black background although some of the colors are not exactly what we want.

2. globe in back ground.  Because we wanted the scenes to look so real, we were struggling with the size of the globe.  When we tried to make the globe virtually real size, the texture extends too much and polygons stand out and did not look good.  So we decided to use a picture of globe for close up scene.

3. Modeling.  Zaku, the robot, was very complicated to model.  When we used boolean subtract tool, some surfaces became broken.  We had close and careful look at all the polygons and fixed one by one.
