Inspiration

The story is that a bunch of Japanese warriors in ancient Japan have fled their dojo (a traditional Japanese warrior house). Everything is where they left it. The weapons still adorn the walls and the sake set is still on the table.  Inspiration for the scene was from Robert who has a vast knowledge of ancient Japan. The idea was more exotic then the other ideas and allowed to experiment with Japanese décor.

Problems and Difficulties:

Probably the biggest problem that I found with this project was group apathy.  No one really cared very much what was done to it.  No one wanted to stand up and take the initiative right away.

Creating weapons was also a difficulty.  Some of the weapons came out really well, however most of them were pretty bad looking and therefore where never put into the scene.

Finding enough time to do everything we wanted to do.  We wanted to add bump maps to the textures on the brick wall, bamboo wall, the grass, and the mat, but time would not allow us to do so.  We tried to use the tutorial that was given on the subject of bump maps, however I could not find the tools for bump maps in lightwave and did not have enough time to look for other tutorials.

The last problem was getting the whole team together to work on the project.  I won't go into detail on this matter, lets just say that it was a problem.
