Cristen ShullFinal Scene
Candle Lit Bathroom

Inspiration:

I first thought of this scene when I decided to redecorate my bathroom.  I started making things look the way I wanted them to look in my new bathroom, but I then added a lot after a night that I saw a candle lit bathroom.  I love the way it looked, so I tried to incorporate that mood into my scene. I wanted the romantic mood, and I feel that I have achieved that, and my goal was to make it look realistic.  After looking at it for so long, I can't tell if it looks realistic anymore.

Problems:

I had a lot of difficulty doing the lighting for this scene, but I think that's what actually made it look as good as it does.  John Pozzi helped me a lot with the lighting.  After we had it all set the way I wanted it to be, the computer froze in the process of saving it, so the candles and lights were not saved.  I had to do all of the lighting over again, and make new candles.  I got it back to the way I wanted it, and I am very happy with the turn out.

Technical work:

For the majority of my images I used the lath tool.  It's my favorite.  I also used the smooth shit key for the sink, the dragnet and the magnet for the curtain along with the extrude tool.  I stuck to simple tools, but I worked on my images for a long time to make sure that they looked somewhat realistic.
