The Labrynth

Inspiration

My inspiration for this project was the myth of the Greek Gods. The Labrynth was the maze where the Minotaur would kill anyone who entered. In this case I added another Greek character, the Centaur, to fight the Minotaur in the labrynth.

Problems and Solutions:

Artistic
My biggest problem in this project was deciding what to do. I knew I had a limited time period so I tried my best to make a deliverable for the turn in date. At first I was going to do a morgue but quickly realized that render time would be very high so I tried to think of a different project that would look nice, but not take as long to render. So this is where I thought of creating a Greek scene.

Technical
As for the technical, I had a little trouble with getting the fire how I liked it, but by using Viper to render the volumetric lights it greatly increased effieciency. The majority of my time came from making color maps (textures) for most of the characters that I had made. The most time I think I spent on this project was creating textures for my models. I had several textures for each part of each of the characters' bodies.
