Just a Game

Inspiration/Story

While I contimplated what I wanted to do for this project, I knew it had to be something unexpected.  So I wound up recreating a scene from a video game.  The idea was to include the glitches often found in video games.  The viewer would think that the faults in the scenes were done by the artist.  When in fact, they were done on purpose by the artist.  So the view originally blames the artist/creator for making the robot's body penetrate the floor and one of the pillars and for having the walkway so thin, and some of the textures not looking so real.  Then the last scene, shows that it is all on a TV and that it is just a video game.

Techniques:

With this project, I did the same thing as I have done with previous ones  experiment.  I just tested out tools while incorporating the effects of tools I already know.  This approach worked out.  My project could have been improved greatly with a bigger variety of tools, but I am satisfied.  Bevel was used quite often as well as just random clicks of the mouse button on other tools.  I'll admit, nothing in my scene is all that advanced.

Problems and Solutions:

All the objects I created were pretty basic so I really didn't have too much trouble with those.  I often screwed things up, but I usually knew what I did wrong and how to fix it.  The biggest problems came when I imported objects into lightwave.  But that simply required working with the effects until I achieved what I wanted.  Simply trial and error.
