Inspiration:

The inspiration for this project came long ago, before I started my desk scene.  At the time I had neither the time neither the skills nor the time for the vision I wanted to create.  Now though, the scene is what I want it to be.  Before there were only two and a half walls and a floor.  Now the room is complete, with bookshelves, chests and small oddities for interest.

Problems and Solutions:

My greatest skill easily lies in modeling.  And as such, I modeled my scene fairly quickly, and spent most of my time in Layout.  Lighting and texturing always gives me the most trouble.  It seems that the look I want is always just out of reach.  But now it is how I envisioned it to begin with.
