Dead Aim

Inspiration:

I play many video games, a lot which are the first- or third-person shooting games. I decided that I would like to try to make a simple scene that you might see in one of these types of game. This would most likely be like the training area of the scene. I decided to title this Dead Aim because it's what I have when I play (thanks to auto aiming) and so does my army guy in my scene. The army guy has yet to shoot the targets in the building windows yet, but don't worry, he'll get the job done before the sun goes down.

Problems and Solutions:

Similar to creating a person in my group project, I found creating people is quite difficult, and you end up with people looking very funny. My solution for this problems was to make my guy all one color so it was harder to tell; and deal with it.

Another slight problem I had that I also had in other projects was when moving from one computer to another, many objects lose their textures and have to be reapplied. This just took the time to do this.

Resources:

The main resources used were from tutorials from other CSCI 140 students. These included the water tutorial used for the water, the magnet tutorial for the ground, and the sky tracer tutorial to do the sky. Everything else I just played with and did myself.
