Cristen ShullDesk Scene
Lonely Day

Inspiration

When I was creating this scene, I was thinking of a day that was quiet and I was stuck in my house all alone.  I was really board and it was raining outside so I was in a bad mood.  Everything was gloomy and it seemed like everything around me was lifeless.  It was one of those times where I just wanted to curl up on the couch and watch a sad movie.  I know this piece doesn't portray much of that, but that is where the piece originated. This piece is supposed to be very plain and nothing out of the ordinary.  I am still trying to get the hang of this program so that is another reason for the simple objects.

Problems

I had a lot of trouble trying to get the lamp to reflect light.  I wanted to keep the lamp off though because there was nothing bright about the day that I was thinking of.  I finally discovered the reflection button under surface editor.  The textures puzzled me for a while also, but I tried my best to make the scene look somewhat realistic.  I hope you enjoy my picture!
