Chris PetersonDesk Scene
My Office

Inspiration:

I thought of this scene this last winter break when I moved around a few offices for a high school district. I moved a lot of different styles of desks, but this one was my favorite. So I started to create my scene to mimic what I would want my office to be like if I worked there. I went into detail and tried to even recreate a plant in an office that I saw.

Problems and Solutions:

The main problems I had during this project dealt with texturing the glass.
I could model it just fine, but when it came to texturing it, I had a really hard time making it look realistic. I added a spotlight to resolve the problem and thus created a more realistic effect. The only thing I am really not happy with in my scene is the plant leaves. I wanted to make them look less blocky overall, but due to lack of tutorials on how to make a plant on the internet I just settled with one I made by myself.

Everything else was done from scratch or with techniques learned from the above.
