Inspiration

The Inspiration for my art was primarily my own hobbies, and the time I usually end up doing them.  I play the guitar (though not as well as I'd like to) and I like to pretend to write music.  Tori Amos is an inspiration to me musically, which is why I tried to put a poster of her in my picture (that and there is also an actual poster of her in my room.)  The lighting makes it difficult to see the poster, but it does set the mood I wanted.  The mood I was going for was a bit gloomy.  The blank piece of paper and pencil sitting on the desk are there to signify writers block.  The guitar is there because I was trying to portray that a person was trying to write a song.  The apple is just there because it looks cool; and Tara Reid is in the background to add something to the wall

Problems & Solutions:

Two of the most annoying problems that I had were not being able to get all of the objects I wanted to into my picture; and rendering time.

Another problem I had was getting my local light source right where it needed to be!  I never really found an easy way to do it, but by switching between top, left, back, and perspective views I was able to get it were it needed to be eventually.

I also had problems with getting my objects placed in the scene so that they wouldn't look like they were floating.  I ended up combining all of my objects in modeler into one big object because I couldn't get things placed correctly in layout.  All the objects were either floating, or morphing with the object they were next to, or on.

I encountered a few other problems, but these were the most testing.
