Inspiration:

I've grown up with music throughout my whole life, and played drums in about 6 different bands. I first thought about doing a scene like this a while back, before I even took this class. I always wanted to design instruments for a band, especially a drum set. So when I first heard about this final project, I figured it would be a perfect idea. It seemed like it would be somewhat a challenge, but fun at the same time.

Problem/Solution:

I came up with two main problems, one in Modeler and the other in Layout. The problem I had in Modeler was dealing with the humans. After importing vampire from lightwave, I had to completely change all of the settings and re-figure different limb positions. This was not as easy as it seemed. I had to select sometimes one polygon at a time to make the body look organic. I could not find an easy way to do the re-positioning.

The problem I had in Layout, was with the volumetric lights. They looked and worked fine in a render, until I tried to make a final render. For some reason, when I turned shadows on, half of the lights disappeared. I never found a solution, which made me very angry
